This is just a suggestion. seeing there is so many rule violations by newbies (and members) there should be a test of the rules before someone is allowed to become a member or gain a member status, or gain a higher member status. there is so many piracy,email addy's,not useing the search function ect.... that some people couldnt have read the rules and understand them...just a thought might not be the brightest of thoughts, but it is something to think about...
i know its like babysitting, but arent the mods doing enough of that now that it is with all the goofballs doing the stupid things that cause headaches for our mods, when they could be doing more helpfull things other than warning someone about double posting or there email addy in a link....
sorry to ramble on. im done lol

OOo, a test sounds like a good idea.
Especially for the hgiher ranks like addict. To me, it seems a bit hard to implement for just member level, as I'm sure there are lots of people reaching that.
@Dan: I'm sure they'll still be a fair amount of bashing to do.. ya know, with all the idiots that inhabit this planet nowadays ;-P

isnt there a way now to check and see how many post a member has? other than yourself?
you know whats bad about all this.. the guys/gals that understand how and what goes on around here arent the ones with the problems..lol well take that back there are a few,lol everyone breaks a rule now and then no one is perfect(other than me,being from cincinnati). so i see that some AD Addict might not like that members since seeing that some have earned that right.

I like the application form idea. It would really get some people not bothered to join up if its lengthy. Then if its lengthy and the person actually goes through it and completes it correctly we wont have as many nutters around. :) Well done Ireland :D

more people above the rank of member piss me off than people below that rank, i suppose because mods are typically more hesitant to ban them. i would love to see something like this put into action, as the sheer stupidity of those who rise through the ranks in the console forums drives me further from this forum every farking day.

As I have observed earlier today with your attempted help of a console forum addict who doesn't know what ram looks like.
That's most worrying, that somebody can have a title which suggests all kinds of knowledge about computers, and obviously doesn't know nothing.. not even how to read the site rules regarding sigs.
I was interested in how an addict can't know what the inside of a computer looks like and discovered a console intent rap fan.
Not much happening ther, and about 5 links to the homepage.
Also joined 8 months after me. I did my time in the console forums, but the psp forums seem to churn out limited knowledge addicts at frightening speed.
