I have been burning successfully on my laptop since I uninstalled Roxio about 4 months ago with almost no coasters.

Starting Saturday everything I try to burn dies at 3%. I use Taiyo yuden and Verbatim media exclusively. I have two Sony drives with a Sony OEM Version of Nero.

Both drives cause the same exact error. I have done exhaustive searching and have done the following:

1. I removed everything new I installed Saturday morning, the day my problems started.

2. I uninstalled Nero

3. I ran the Nero Cleanup utility

4. I rebooted.

5. I reinstalled Nero.

Still have the exact same error.

Here is the log from my external Sony DVD Burner. I will post the log from my internal Sony DVD burner in the next post.

Please help and thanks in advance.

First log shows Nero 6.6.0.18...2nd log shows 6.6.1.4....get rid of 6.6.1.4..it's a "buggy" version.

Firmware on 2nd log OK however I would check for updates from first log...so maybe if you get rid of 6.6.1.4 and use your 2nd log burner it may work.

The problem has been fixed. I kept searching and found a post that said the PXHELP20.SYS file could cause issues. I renamed it but never rebooted.

I can burn again since the reboot.
