i've always had nintendo and was happy with it.i just need to know if i should buy the wii or maybe buy xbox 360.i have kids at home and i know they would be happy with the wii.can someone please help me decide which one would be better to buy.thanks

I'd say Wii but the 360 has many more games a thing im dissaapointed in the Wii now the games are going so slow no first party game until May.

Right now Nintendo is being stingy with developing kits. That's why there is a huge lack in games. They need to get their act together. First the shortage in consoles, then controllers, now games.....

I think the problem is they are so un used to it because the last time demand was this high was in 1991 when the SNES came out then the N64 which reocketed on launch and dyed down majorily then the NGC which wasnt big on launch and got worse near the end so i doubt the are used to it most of the team members that worked in 1991 by 2007 had left besides a few.
So yeah theys hould get their act toghter because they have a big chance of snapping the otehr 2 but they arent putting their full effort into making it happend which they could easily.

Yeah, what these guys said. I'd say you should go with 360. A lot more games, and the line of games coming is gonna be awesome.

guys I haven't had the luck to get a Wii ... and I didn't want to start a new thread just for this so... Can you help me out? because some months ago I had this page where they tell you when new shipments are comming. The problem is that this page(wiiseeker or something) and it only includes ebay sellers now. I have been searching the wii now since november :/ and I already have Twilight princess since december, so staring at the game is just killing me...
I'be been searching but i can't find new shipments. Please help me ... Thx

Personally I'd go to a store, try each one then decide for myself. Afterall, you're buying for you, not everyone else :)

For the actual answer for the original poster i'd say go for the Wii if stuff keeps heading in the good direction like currently there are many new games comming and a ton of them from 3rd- partys but aprx 2 month wait at least i say buy the wii trust me it will turn out much better then the 360 maybe thats the reason Microsoft have been saying stuff about the Wii and Ps3 cause they know that they dont have a big chance aginst them 2 ps3 sold alot in teh europe ive heard about 3x as much as the 360 and nearly as mcuh as the Wii on launch.

You know the 360 is going with a new black design and 120gb hard drive and HDMI support. its called the XBOX 360 Elite and it really depends on what you want. nintendo still doesnt have online play (hoping for metroide prime). I have a wii and i have fun playing cALL of duty and Twighlight Princess , i m anxios for Medal of honor[img][/img]

The Elite wont do anything i'd rather go for a Ps3 it will cost around the same + the ps3 has tones better media stuff and is more powerfull so what is the point of an elite no one will buy it it will make stuff worse Wii is getting online play around November this year the first game being Mario strikers charged and then there will be alot more after it.
Once Again I will say 360 has more games wii is better overall and will hav the same or more amount of games when it reaches 360's age.

Well; it's kind of like a game of "Would you rather"....
Would you rather spend $250 or $400 on your system?
Would you rather see cutting edge graphics or more natural controls?
Would you rather be sucked in by eye-candy or gameplay?
Would you rather almost every game online or browse the web?
Would you rather play party games or shooters?
It's pretty easy to guess which answer leans toward which system here, there's not much question; but in case you're still on the fence about it; I've got one more questin from personal experience here...
Would you rather spend less on a piece of equipment that was manufactured by one of the most reliable names in the industry, or spend $150 more on a system that doesn't come with a pack-in game and breaks just outside of your warranty?
As much as I love the xbox franchise... Well, 'nuff said.

Take note that u are asking in the Wii fourum so most of the answers will be for Wii. Wii has my vote but I am a Wii fan not Xbox360 fan.
