I need some help to look at a serious performance issue with Nero Vision 4 (4.9.0.18)

basically, I have a number of files already encoded in MPEG2, all i want to do is burn them to a DVD in DVD-VR mode (either on a DVD-RAM or DVD-RW). so, no recoding, straight burn

In one case, it took 2:30 hours to burn 3 shows of 30 min each on a disk and 2:46 to burn another compilation of 3 shows of 30 min...is this acceptable ? all the video options are set to "automatic" but changing them doesn't seem to affect the performance.

the PC is idle (so, it is not busy doing anything else), running windows XP/SP2, 2G of memory and I have 2 drives, an LG 4163B and SH-S182M.
