K750i Screen/LCD Problem

Hello,

I have had a k750i for around 3yrs and have never had any problems. It was working fine this morning but when i went to pick it up I noticed the the screen is overly bright (almost white) and whenever i press certain keys the screen goes blank.

I have removed the battery, that made no difference.
I have charged the phone which also made no difference

I also tried to update the firmware using SEUS but the application crashes at the "Detecting Phone Stage" and then eventually tells me detection has failed.

Any help would be much appreciated.
