Okay, so I posted something on here in regards to my modded Wii giving me controller problems when in Game Cube mode.

Seems that if I try to play backed up Game Cube games on my Wii, the controllers won't work at all. The games boot up, but I cannot navigate with the Game Cube controllers. At first I thought it was something not hooked back up properly when it was modded, but it is something else now.

I put in an original Game Cube game into the Wii and it booted up just fine. And the controllers work (aftermarket Gamestop brand).

Seems that the controllers won't work on backup Game Cube games only.

Is anyone else able to play backup GC games on their Wii Key modded Wii's?

I've got a wiikey and a backup of Paper Mario. I'm using my Wavebird controlers. They seem to be working fine.

Hmm. I wonder if only Wavebird controllers work for backup games? I don't know why others wouldn't. I saw another post where someone used Wavebird controllers and they were fine too. Hrm.
