ok so i just downloaded a psp game from a torrent site. so how do i use it? i want to play it on my psp what do i have to do?

go to setting, psp thing ...(i forgot ... the menu with the battery info), then click system information. You should see a number such as 1.5 to 3.30.

how are we supposed to know? its pretty random, but chances are its going to NOT be 1.5

I am a Newbie to psp modding...
I just downloaded some games for the psp...the format is .cso and .dax file...
The firmware is 3.30.
If I could get help with this it would be amazing!

1.5, and any of the customs. the custom firmwares need 1.5 to upgrade to however.
if u don't have 1.5, most firmwares can be downgraded to 1.5, except 3.10 and 3.30

1.5 only...and u need a program that emulates other firmwares, its called devhook. custom firmware is better though. loads better
u cant downgrade 1.52 thought. u need to upgrade to 2.00 and then downgrade from there

some one is trying to sell me a psp with 3.10oe-A firmware he says that is has the capability of both a 1.5 and a 3.10 firmware is it true and can i play these game on that type of firmware?

what? 3.10 oe-a isn't a scam...i just said that maybe, maybe the person selling u the psp is a scam and that he wants to get rid of a messed up psp for money.
oe-a is a version of oe. there's oe-b, oe-c, etc

Dang...I am stuck.
So pretty much, I cannot do anything until 3.30 is hacked?
I am guessing Sony made 3.30 to avoid all this modding...

It is not modding ... it is called hacking ... modding is illegal, but not hacking. Modding is putting modchips ...

hi everybody....
i just got a PSP and when i checked my homebrew i have both kernel 1.5
and kernel 3.50... can i play downloaded games from torrent with this firmware? do i still need to download devhook program?
