having a problem authoring because my videos are 23 frames but need either 25 or 29 frames a second is there anyway to convert the original avi?

Canopus Procoder is probably the best program out there for framerate conversion.
Contrary to common belief, it is the audio that causes the problem in framerate conversion more than the video. The needed adjustments can apparantly be done via a combination of VirtualDub and BeSweet (see the guide section of www.dvdrhelp.com), but I have never gotten this to work.
