Anyone using or have any info regarding LightScribe DVD+/-R's as far as compatibility goes?

I've tried a few Lightscribe DVD+R discs (Verbatim and HP) and both fail to produce a bootable disc. I think it's because of the barcode-like section on the inside edge of the discs. I gave up after wasting three of 'em. I've been using Memorex DVD+R and Fujifilm mini DVD-R discs. They work great but don't look as nice as a Lightscribe would...

*sigh* Oh well. I guess Sharpies will have to do for now...
