Hey guys I was just able to install a Xecuter bios and now i need to install a dashboard. The problem is, every tutorial i find talks about burning a cd and installing it that way. My thompson drive barely reads actual xbox DVDs and it sure as heck dosent read DVD-Rs...Its on its way out. I am wondering if theres another way to install a dashboard..And the other thing is...Can i install a dashboard with a chip programmer? Or is that only for BIOS's. When you install a dashboard where does it go? to ur hard drive? Thanks!

FTP, just look at the top and i am sure you can find a tutorial. If not search the forums for FTP and you will see a million threads.

if you know how to FTP then you would know that the hard drive is the place that you would FTP to.

Depending on what you want the dash to do (be the main dash or be a dash that you run like a program when needed) will determine where you put it.
The best way is using an auto installer disc though, it makes it very easy. You put your main hacked dash (the one you plan to load up to) on the C: partition and the rest you put in E: or F: in the apps folder (depending on how you set up your Xbox) You will know if you should use E: or F: because one will have a lot of free space, that is what you use.

the FTP route will most likely just drive you nuts.

If you search for "installing EvoX" you will find pages and pages of stuff.

Jpf566, this is another way to install new dashboard, you need to download software call SLAYER 2.7 (auto installer xbox), you can try to download it by BITCOMET, and burn it into dvd ( use Nero burning room to burn it), don't burn it onto cd your xbox dvd drive may not work properly with cd.....cheersss, hope this help!!!!!!!!
