I have some PS1 games from a long time ago and I ripped one of them and used popstation and everything and it worked. I just want to now if Sony put protection on PS1 games after a certain time. I want to know because there are a couple of games on ebay I am interessted in buying and I want to know if all PS1 games are "rippable". I had a modchip in my PS1 and I remember that one time, I tried playing a new game and it wouldn't play because I had the mod-chip. Will this protection stop me from being able to transfer games to my PSP?

I haven't heard of any PSX games that are not rippable, but that doesn't mean every PSX game you rip will play 100% on a psp.

I'm pretty sure all the ps1 games had the same protection which wasn't really anything. I have used MagicISO and ripped the iso of some of my games then converted to PBP and it didn't for me. So now I just download ps1 games, instead of trying to fiddling around with mine.
