Hey guys, a mate gave me an xbox for free because he said it doesnt work. It doesnt seem to have any kind of video output. He said that if i fix it i can have it anyways because he got himself a 360 :)

The light is green and doesnt give me any error codes. Any idea what could be the problem ?

I "broke" my friends xbox trying to mod it, and the same thing happened to me. I used hotswap to restore the dash back to factory state. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/332766. I am assuming it goes thru the boot screen and just shows a blank screen.

Comp
-6-core 3.2 AMD, 12gb DDR3, Geforce femi 560ti, Running Win7 x64

Laptop
-Dual boot Win7 + Ubuntu 11.10 Gnome Classic

yeah no picture no sound just the green light. I took it apart and just tried it without the DVD rom or hdd connected and it started up fine but then when i re connected everything back up, it didnt display anything.

It only seems to work when there is nothing connected to the mobo and when the psu has been unplugged for atleast an hour.

I found out the problem i am having is called the coma error but i cant find any fixes for v1.4+

Hey dodge, I'm having this same problem with my xbox 360. I turn it on and no video appears, but I can hear sound and can blindly navigate through the 360 dashboard hearing the swipes as the menu goes by. Any one have a solution or at least an explanation about this, thanks!

http://www.teammodders.com/forum/how-to-...-again-t76.html

For other models you can:
1. If ou have a modchip get Slayer 2.7, rebuild the hard drive back to retail and reinstall everything
2. if your softmodded and were smart enough to back up your EEPROM file to your PC like you should, you can rebuild the hard drive in your PC with xboxhdm
3. If softmodded without the EEPROM you will have to do a "hotswap" in order to rebuild the drive.
tutorials on all of the above can be found in the same tutorial section as the link above. Not sure that will solve the problem though as it sounds more hardware related then software related.
