Hi guys,

I was wondering wether to buy the component cables they have, what i wanna know is does it make any difference, i just got a new TV so i just wanna know wether to spend that money or not?

I paid $25 for a set of 3rd party component cables and it looks a bit better, but it's not a night and day different at all. I think right now PS2 makes a much bigger jump in visual quality going from composite to component.

component cables definitely help picture quality compared to an RCA cables

i got a set of leads from ebay for £6 - right bargain

anyway i found that in cutesy games like sports they made no noticable difference but on games like prince of persia the graphics are a lot smoother and resolution a lot better

Component cables make an "improvement" on HDTV's, but with the improved clarity, you notice how gritty games really are. I used them with twilight princess and now the icons are crystal clear, but the 3d graphics really show their jagged lines. Personally I'll trade the clarity of component for full screen blur of standard and use HD cables whenever I can.
