I know that the official lan adapter would be the best but I was just wondering what other ones are compatible with the wii??

Not sure but you may be best off to just buy a wireless router you can still go wired to your pc as well with it if that's what the problem is

i am using Nintendo Wi-Fi USB and it works fine .I got it at EB games for $ 20.00 used .And it helps that u dont have to run more cable :)
