I Am Trying to Convert My Wii play File from MDF to an ISO File.Every program I use to try and convert it says it is an invalid image file format. I've tried Iso magic, iso opener and I'm playing around with Alcohol 120%. Any ideas?

Does it need to be an ISO file for the disk drive in the Wii to read it.?

Where on earth did you get an MDF file from a Wii Play disc? What program did you use to rip the game?

MDF is clasified as an Alcohol 120% CD image.

If you can burn it, the Wii should recognize it. MDF and ISO are just different image types (to the best of my knowledge).

I'm sure someone else here has played around with MDF more then I have.

bass is right. Just burn it with alcohol or use Nero to burn it as raw data. Either will work

I burned it with alcohol and it copied fine.

When i put the backup into my wii it shed up on the first screen but once I click start with the wiimote the screen just goes blank.

I am using an original wiikey.

Any ideas?

I have region free mode enabled on my Mod chip so that shouldn't matter. I guess I'll just start the whole process over and see if I can get an ISO file instead of an MDf file.

actually it does matter. Some titles have problems like that. but ok, try it again.

If that doesn't work, look around for compatibility lists.

Hey man, I feel your pain.

Go into MagicISO you can get the demo here http://www.magiciso.com/
and after you install, open the program, click on "Tools" and then click "Any format to ISO" and that will bring up a screen that lets you select your input file (the MDF file) and then an output file that you can name whatever. That will create an ISO file out of your MDF file.

With proper searching (or paying) you'll be able to find the full version of MagicISO ;-\
