What would you guys recommend for good CD-R media on the PS2?

i wouldnt recommend verbatim because every time i burn to Verbatim CD-Rs and put the in my PS2, doesnt matter if its a music CD or PS1 game, it always starts making loud griding/scraping noises. any other CD-R media i use works perfectly.
it might just be my ps2 but then again its only Verbatims that give me the problem.
