Conflict with Nero 7850 and IE7?

Hi,
I recently bought a new computer with Vista Home-Premium and needed a decent DVD/CD burning program that was compatible with Vista. I used to use Nero6 with my 98se with no problem so I turned again to Nero. I saw that Nero 7850 was compatible and downloaded the trial version and here's where the trouble started. It downloaded and installed properly but after I restarted it created a conflict with IE7. It affected my history [dropdown menu] and the computer just locked up with an hourglass and I couldn't go anywhere. I had to either restart the computer or end IE with task manager to regain control. I eventually figured out a way to work the Internet manually but it asked me if I would let Nero run whenever I went someplace that required Java. I finally restored my computer to an earlier restore point prior to installing the new Nero, removed all mention of Nero from the Registry and now all is fine again. I never heard of this before and now I guess I'll go to Imgburn. Any ideas? Thanks.
