How to back up a cd(ps1) to a dvd ??

Hey iam trying to backup my old ps1 games in a dvd but the ps2 console is not reading them is says cannot read disc in a black background.
i have a mod chip. thanks

I'm guessing you burned the PSX games as a Data disc on one DVD-R disc. The thing is, as far as I know, you can't put PSX games onto one DVD-R. Reason is, even though PSX and some PS2 games are in the same format as CD-ROM, is that the PS2 CD-ROM format is different from the PSX CD-ROM format.
