Both DL-DVDdrives no longer work (code error 37)

I have a Dell 8400 with a Philips DVD8631 and a Samsung SH-S182M both are dual layer drives. I had burned some dvds two days ago and when I tried today neither one of my drives is working. I did the typical stuff...restart, disabled, checked for wires unattached and so on. When I check on the properties I get this message for both drives..."Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)"

I have no clue what that means. My pc is running Vista and I have never had a problem with either of my drives in the past. (I guess I had a good working Philips DVD8631 until recent).

When suggestions on resolving this issue I will happily take.
