I don't know what section to post this in so I'm hoping this is the right one. My problem is audio related really but its not soley audio.
I've purchased an anime DVD from Japan which contains no subtitles and just Japanese audio. I also own the US release of the same group of episodes which contain both an English soundtrack and subtitles. My aim is to make a DVD with the Jap video and adding the subtitles and Eng track. The subtitles are fine I've managed that part but my problem is adding the Eng audio. The audio is out of sync by 800 ms followed by 1600 ms after the commercial break. Using Virtual Dub I delayed the audio by 800 ms which solved the problem for the first half of the video, but not the second half which is still behind by 800 ms.

Does anyone know a way of correcting this, basically I would like the Eng audio to sync with the Japanese footage.

Any help would be great
