I have been backing up my DVDs with no problem for months now. Now I am getting this error message about laser calibration error. I can't get the drive to work for nothing. I am about to buy a new drive. Before I do, it there anybody out there that can help me fix this?

Oriphus,

One thing you said stands out. I have XP and my computer went nuts because of the blaster. I reinstalled XP over the current system. I think that is what caused it. I have since formatted my C drive but I think the damage has been done. What do I do now? Do I still download Adaptec version 4.71? If so were can I get it? Thanks for replying back. I have been frustrated over this for days.
