How do I play a divx file on my 3.03 oe-c?

I hope someone can help me quickly. I need to know how to play a DivX file on my psp. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey kronikx

i'm probably not the best person to reply to this, but as far as i know you first need to convert your video file (be it DivX or AVI or mpeg...whatever) then transfer it to your psp.

their are a few programs out on the internet, some free and some not, that say they can do this.

try looking for pspvideo9 on google. if that doesn't work you should find other links on google that will point you in the right direction.

you cant play DivX on your psp...it has to be in .mp4 format.

Download pspvideo9 and use that to convert your movies to .mp4 it will also place the files in their proper locations for you by clicking copy to psp.

hopefully someone responds again. i tried the psp video 9 and i couldn't figure out how to find out what format it's being converted into. so i did the conversion anyways and it came out as a mpeg4. i tried to play it on my psp putting the file into the video folder. when i click play it says "the video cannot be played" can someone help me please. greatly appreciated.

you dont put it in the video folder....it goes into your mproot folder in 100mnv01 and you need both the .mp4 that was created as well as the .thm file that was created with it. Like i said, just use the copy function to copy it to your psp because it places everything where it needs to go for you.

*EDIT* you most likely got the error because you forgot to add the .thm file
