Using Wiikey SD dumper + SD/USB Card + Ext HDD

Anyone out there used the SD dumper to backup there current games? Was wondering what the feesability of launching the games off of a SanDisk 2GB Ultra II Secure Digital Card with USB 2.0 Adapter
(SanDisk - SDSDPH2048)attached to an external HDD. This would give you the mass storage capabilites and the loader launcher capabilites of the SD wiikey function? Can't test til I get my key installed.

it sounds awesome in theory. but it does not seem do-able due to the fact that sd is waaaaaaay too slow for this task [launching games]. even launching stuff from hdd through sd doesn't seem possible because of... possibly drive issues... that's all i can think of, yup. still, awesome in theory.

skip the first five or so pages, it's before the app was released. on page 13 or something, someone said that wiikey's dumper worked fine.
