No one has done so yet and usually those projects turn out to be incomplete, stalled or dead altogether like the Tales of Destiny 2 (PS2) project. As for getting those Jap. subtitles subbed into English, you could easily go to any KH fansite and look up some translations if you desperately want to know what it means. If it's your first time playing KH2:FM+, it's actually quite similar to KH2 except there's all these extra add-ons presented in KH2:FM. But, if you're playing KH:RECoM then I dunno what else to say other then good luck because I heard the similarities between the GBA version and the PS2 one was sufficient that people who've played the GBA one could navigate through the PS2 version of KH:RECoM.

And btw, most hacked version I've seen like Star Ocean: Til the End of Time (a.k.a. So3) and Tales of the Abyss (the one by asmodean), from my knowledge, the most they do is switch the audio files from the NTSC-J version to the NA version; however, they do need to hack the game. Swapping audio files is incredibly easier to do compared to actually reading the encrypted files, processing and etc...

On a side note, I have bought both games, and I've gotten these versions simply because after playing each game so much, I've grown tiresome of the English audio so I wanted a change.

It's a tedious process that involves more work than simply switching audio files from one version to another. What you are asking is a whole lot of work that needs to be done. It's difficult to say what you would actually need to do to implement this, but it does involve such things like re-timing, re-syncing, re-encoding files, decrypting and etc... For example, ToA's undub still has a good amount of syncing issues during the skits, misplaced voices and wrong conversations playing at certain intervals.

I don't think so, and, from what I've heard and believe, there aren't going to be any projects for doing so, and plus, you aren't missing much either unless you cannot understand English that well. And besides, with the new scenes, you can easily get translations for those. Or, ahem... understand it if you know a little Japanese. It just becomes a tedious task I suppose. I don't have to do it so often when I look at the new cut-scenes.

Not just during the skits. All cutscene voices are out of sync and the fix doesn't fix anything but rather disables them.
So as it stands you can't play and "undub" after about half the game (from when you get the airship)because either it's an out of sync mess or you don't have any voices at all.

I did hear that supposedly it gets back on track with and without fix but that is just a rumour.
I'm well past the part where it supposedly fixes itself and still nothing works.

Did anyone get the Tales of the Abyss undub to work properly?

KH2 Final mix is a japanese remake. They may release it out in USA but I'm uncertain when.

Nope, it's not coming to North America at all. Go to Square Enix's website and look at their E3 line-up. There's no KH2: FM+ in their line-up. Plus, why would they? They would make a BIG gamble if they did that because...

They have to spend money getting the original English voice actors all back together.
They have to spend money adding to the original KH2 game for US and PAL Regions.
They have to spend money remaking RE: COM with English acting/translations.
They have to spend money shipping out a bunch of new FM+ games, HOPING that everyone who said they are going to buy it stay committed. (You know those parents that don't understand buying the "same" game over again)
They have to spend money advertising it all over again.
They have to compete with the original KH2 and COM that have already dropped in price.
They also have to risk the special market that is Play Asia. It wouldn't be Play Asia, if everyone in the world got the same treatment. It would lose its value.

In my opinion they've made a smart choice.
