I used a RTMP downloader to save some FLV files from ABC.com. The problem is, every encoder I've tried using to convert them to anything results in severe audio synch issues. (I'm just trying to put them on DVD so I can watch them on a big screen TV.)

It looks great... it sounds great, but it doesn't synch up.

It plays just fine in any FLV player. Synchs great. But when converting (even from FLV to FLV), synch goes out the window.

It can't be fixed with a simple delay or pad... it loses synch on a curve. At the beginning of the file, it's off by a couple of seconds, by the end, it's off by like a minute. I think the video is playing too fast on the converted file.

I used Applian Replay Media Catcher to download FLV files using ABC.com's "old" full episode player. All of their FLV files behave the same way.

Has anyone heard of anything like this? Any ideas on what to look for or how it could be fixed? There has GOT to be a way to solve this.
