I have read a ton of threads on here and followed Alkohols guide and many of their posts which are Super helpful however I keep running the Raw Dump program and it pops up an error message click ok to continue, quit to quit and details gives you a bunch of information of what happens...I have the drive that i need to burn the games...my question is can you actually copy already burnt games? is there a program that will dump an already burnt DVD wii game onto the hard drive? I want to make two copies of each game I own :)
i had an issue with this program - but it was all my own silly fault
when i extracted the rawdump archive i never realised there was a file called rdump.dll with it - i had to go back and get this file and put in same folder as rawdump.exe then it worked fine
if this isnt the error then i apologise but u really should say what the error is

The error message I was getting was an unexpected error has occurred and you can click on the details that talks about JIT errors (Just In Time) and then gives you an ok button which if you click it will try all year long to try and read the disk, and a quit button which if you click the program closes..I actually can backup games that are new from store however when i try and copy an already burned game the drive wont read it..I am also having problems burning my games it fails everytime i writing. I am using Nero v 7.0 and i have a benQ DVD writer, im trying again as we speak and its 19% completed...and im burning at 4X because the 2X has failed each and everytime....have about 6 coasters....so in short i assume that you cant burn copied games as rawdump wont read them properly.unless someone knows how to?
I can't comment on using rawdump on a backup, as I have not tried this. However, with regards to your burning issue. I use Nero 7 and burn at 8x with an older (2 years) NEC drive on Memorex DVD-R media and it works fine every time.
What kind of DVD media are you using? Do you have the latest firmware flashed on your Benq burner?
hey thanks for responding, I have a benq burner which i will update the drivers and firmware today, and i burn onto DVD-R that are i believe Panasonic....I havent had any issues with this drive until now...I can use it to dump data on but i cant seem to burn the wii images.
I was able to finally backup one of my wii games after i updated the firmware and i burnt it at 8 times on a phillips DVD - R . I tried to use Nero to do a Disc to Disc on the fly and it dies out too...so Im flashing my firmware again and if it doesnt work, ill buy a new one....any suggestions?
