XBMC remote only for 1.50?

I'm trying to install this app on my psp but it doesn't show up with the rest of my apps. In the read me it says only tested on 1.50 but I have custom firmware.
So my question is has any one gotten this to work on any firmware? I'm interested in any feedback thank you.

did u put it in the right folder?

GAME150

or GAME and have the kernel set to 1.5

?

You put the irshell folder in the root of your mem stick, then open up the psp folder (the one supplied by the download) and in there should be irshell and irshell% they go in your game 150 folder.

I give up.
If anyone has this working on anything but 1.5 please let me know. And if anyone wants to just try and put it on their psp(even if you don't have XBMC) I would appreciate that so if it didn't work it would be like double confirmation for me and make giving up easier.
