I have a wii, im thinking about getting a wiikey for it but i have a concern. nintendo are soon to release the first wi-fi games for the wii soon. if i am running a backup of a wii game, will i be able to play wi-fi on my chipped machine?

They mean if Nintendo does start banning people playing online (WiFi) that the Modchip can easily be taken out.

As for now there is no problem playing Mario Strikers online with a Modchip and a backup game.

As for the future updates?

Who knows I am not psychic so sorry I can't predict the future. The only thing people can do is speculate on what will happen with future updates. But untill they come out we will not know what the future holds.
