I don't have a mod chip yet, but I have burned the games on I have been
Dynex 8x DVD+R Buring at 2x, will i have any problems?
Also how do i know if i burned them right, when i unrared they were alrady iso's so i burned them with imgburn. When i put in the CD, it read the DVD but I cant explore it and just pops it out, is everything OK?
with the improvements in discs and the coatings used then i have read that some do not advise you burn at 2x. I was advised to update my firmware for my writer to the latest release as this contains all the newer information for the newer blank dvds and improves results
Last I tried TDK DVD-R on same drive, and it DID work... so I would say to play it safe just definetly try some DVD-R media, and if that doesn't work don't quit, try out another brand. To make sure the disks were good I burned another one on my internal Sony drive and it worked again.

you can just make a backup of the original you already own of course!
not owning it would mean its piracy so i am sure you are mistaken.
if you own the original but have no lg drive to dump it again i guess you would need to download it again
however i have in the past copied a non working xbox disc onto a different brand of disc and it has worked - ie the image game was fine - just that the console did not like the disc - worth a try
I've been using Memorex DVD+R when I started making backups.
I recently switched to fuijifilm DVD-R (mini for GC, standard for Wii)
I have burned using my macbook drive, external LG and external HP burners. The only times I've produced junk discs were attempting to use Light scribe media. The Memorex worked 99% of the time. Warioware and Trauma Center:SO would on a rare instance actually produce DRE on first attempt but corrected itself.
