This sucks. Here?s the story. I had an official updated 3.30 PSP and I traded it with a friend for his newly refurbished 2.00 PSP. I used the MPHdowngrader to 1.50. I then upgraded to 3.10oe and hit the run eboot.pbp from the recovery and semi bricked my psp. I recovered it to 1.50 and brought it back up to 3.10oe. I didn't like it and recovered it back to 1.50 again. Then I started the long process of bringing it up to 3.03oe-c.
I succeeded in doing that and installed the auto-homebrew installer. I got a couple of apps and proceeded to try to alter the XMB. I wanted to install the black XMB because it looked cool. For those of who don't know psp this means going to the recovery menu and going advanced and from there going to USB0 and accessing the internal memory of your system.
I attempted to find a tutorial on how to install it but could find very little and did what I could with what I had. Well, I basically took the psp's brain and took out everything that made it function and put into a coma.
You deleted everything? Take note next time to copy files into its appropriate location instead of deleting, this way it overwrites and wont leave you prone to too many mistakes ;)
I take it you cant access recovery menu anymore now?
nope, as i said it's in a coma. can someone in a coma open there eyes? (don't get technical, i'm sure some have before) i just get a black screen, meaning it doesn't turn on. i had a semi-brick, but this is FULL-ON brick.
Well first you need to open up your psp, then run a Ghyanistic, followed by a Calamorite. Then your psp should be fine...lolol enough with the jokes. You can purchase a mod chip and have someone solder it for you. I believe there is a mod chip that will release on april 16 called devolution. Look into that.
You might as well just purchase the mod chip i believe it costs $100...this way if you ever fully brick again you can unbrick it ;) plus probably cheaper than what you would pay for another psp.
No man, ican't get to anything (the screen won't even turn on). I tried accessing the recovery menu and going to where the USB0 should be but it doesn't work (it would help if i had pictures of the menu and advanced settings to help me). but it's up to me and a friend to find a cheap motherboard with low fw and take my psp apart and make it work again, should be fun (geeky).
