Is it possible to use Gameshark cheats or w/e on the PS1 emulator that Sony gave us in that one ol' firmware update?

no, u need 3.03 OE of similar. The cheat device are put on plugin and official firmware cant run them

'k, sorry I didn't elaborate: I AM currently running 3.03 OE-C firmware. How would I go about getting hold of these plug-ins (what are they called)?

First, u need CWcheat (since im in a good spirit i'll provide links) and u need this converter.

Cwcheat (must have) http://dl.qj.net/CWCheat-v0.1.7-PSP-Home...13152/catid/151
Cwcheat editor ( option if want to add cheats on pop or psp game. Not gameshark codes) http://dl.qj.net/CWcheat-Database-Editor...13203/catid/193

U haven't tried it yet so i cant help u. Plz read the readme
