Ok here it goes, I have a 1280x720p video file, it is in .MKV video file type, its 1 hour and 36 minutes long, it has 3 languages English, German, and Japanese, all in 5.1 audio. It also has 4 subtitle languages, German, English, Japanese, and French. It is 4.72GB in size.
Now, is there anyway I can convert this to DVD format and burn it to a Dual Layer DVD (8.5GB) and play it on my PS3 or XBOX 360 in 1280x720p which is what it is originally.
If it is to large once converted is it possible to rip out the German and Japanese 5.1 Audio and the other subtitle languages besides English, that would free up some space.
Lemme know if this is possible because I know HD-DVD and Blu-ray are not a requirement to play HD video, its just a the size that makes them the HD formats. Thanks in advance
DVD has strict resolution sizes. 1280x720 isn't one of them. So you can't convert it to "DVD format and burn it to a Dual layer DVD" at the resolution you want.
