i have just bought a second hand wii with a modchip (not sure which one)and am worried if i play a copied game it will brick my wii. is this possible? if so whcih games are dangerous?

So far the only games known to cause the bricking is playing a USA copy of Super Paper Mario on a PAL chipped wii BEFORE installing the updates from online. It's not so much because of the chip as it is because of the wrong firmware trying to be installed.

Yeah I did the updates via the net THEN stuck in the NTSC Paper Mario but it still asked me update, I said yes it updated (I sweated) then I played the game...Is this normal?

I thought that if I had already updated that it wouldnt need to update as I had the latest?
