I'm new at this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize in advance if directions were already posted on an existing thrad. Couldn't find it in the search results.

Okay, so I downloaded Paper Mario in 3 separate rar files (see first 3 underlined rar files)

qf-spm.r30 to qf.r90-f90 extracted succesfully. Am I missing qf-spm.00 to qf-spm.29?

I don't see the final product in the directory.

Please help....

the 1st lot of files without the numbers are the rar and 00-29

if u right click on any of those files and choose "extract here" it should completely extract

if there are any damaged files u may need to use the par files which are like repair blocks - u may need to google quickpar to find the program to use these

be careful using this backup of your original game unless u have read and completely understand the risks associated with using a PAL machine and an NTSC auto updating game title

there are 2 possibilities

what is the filename called? if its qf-spm.iso then u just burn this iso to disc - i use imgburn (if u cant see the extension of the file then go to controlpanel/folder options and view then untick the "hide extensions for known filetypes" press ok and close and u can now see the extensions)

if it is qf-spm.rar and its 4.37 gig in size maybe it has been rarred again - try double clicking it again to see if WinRAR sees the iso inside it - if it does then extract it then burn

p.s. if u are gonna do screenshots then goto view and select details so it gives sizes etc and make sure the columns are wide enough so u can show extensions etc before taking screenshot

thx again for the quick response

apparently its an .iso file but is still associated with rar ext. i tried opening qf.spm.iso and got the following error message...

http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/5528/wiixa5.jpg

based on your advice thus far, I think this might be the final product needs to be burned? if so, do I need to burn qf-spm.iso as an ISO again on imgburn?

you've been a great help

you downloaded an incomplete or errored rar set. The solution to this is...
Download your rar files only from someone who also posted atleast 10% of the files worth of par files. par files repair corrupt or missing rar files. You do this with a program called Quick Par.

With 1-90 rar files that all need to be combined perfectly to make one ISO you are almost definatly going to get atleast one error and then a bad ISO file.

i think you are mistaken cbuddha he has already told you he has an iso all that has happened is he has associated iso extention to WinRAR. if the rar set was corrupt he would not obtain a file called qf-spm.iso

what you need to do now is burn that iso in Nero or i use imgburn

just tell it to burn image \t 4 x see what happens

WinRAR automatically associates iso files with it in windows because WinRAR can be used to extract windows based iso disc images into just files and folders. You don't want to try and extract the iso though because WinRAR doesn't know how to read a wii disc. The fact that you have an ISO means that you have successfully extracted the rar set and now you are ready to burn your iso. Thinone is right, just burn it now with Nero or IMGburn or whatever burning program you have. Just make sure that you choose the "burn image" option. Don't burn the iso file to your disc as data. This wouldn't do anything for you but allow you to transfer the iso to another computer. Think of an iso like a polaroid of the gamecube game. It looks at the file structure and all the data and creates one file that tells any burning program how to re-create the disc. Hope I didn't confuse ya

with all my wii ISO's that are associated to WinRAR I can open in WinRAR without that error message that he was getting, which is why i assumed it was a bad iso
