I have a wiikey and am loving all my backups. I am now wondering if there is an N64 emulator in the works anywhere for the Wii? Or is there a good GC emulator that may work better with the Wii than it did on the GC? I have read that the GC emulators were not very good?

Thanks for any info

The one one the newsgroups just has 4 games in it and you have to restart the damn Wii when you want to change ROMs. Nintendo make their own N64 emulator and put in in one of the Zelda games. It would works, but not many ROMs are supported. Here's a tut taken from blackcats forums.

1- N64 Emu v2.0 for GC (available at http://www.eurasia.nu but you will need to register with em to have download priveledges simply run a search and you will get one hit

2- GC-Tool v1.2 beta (available at the same site mentioned above)

Now that you have your tools the rest is pretty simple open the N64 emu v2.0 ".gmc" file using the Paradox GC-Tool v1.2 beta ".exe" and replace the file "zelda2p.n64" with your n64 rom (32MB Max), then say NO when it ask you to change the filesize in the TOC. Viola All done !!! ;-)

Now you have a "hacked" version of the ".gmc" file with YOUR N64 rom, heres a few tips ....

1- I would recommend you guys use FSTFIX on this image to correct the size to a proper 1.4 gigs

2- Also instead of burning this image to test it i suggest you try using "Animal Crossing Loader" (latest version is 1.4 if i remember correctly) as not to waiste DVD's for nothing .

PS: More details are contained within the NFO's and pdf files, make sure to look em over theres some intresting info in there and ENJOY!!!

Also there are the ROMs that are supposed to work:
