Is this is a good deal or is it better to just go for the premium line? I've always gotten Ritek Ridata's from Newegg but thought I would jump up a level or two. The $49.99 is their "deal of the day"

Supermedia store? Good deal - I use them a lot.
I use the premium line but there's quite a few members here that use the valueline and have no problems.

The Taiyo Yuden Valueline in on sale right now for $22.99CDN for 100pcs here:

After you do the exchange rate calculation for 200pcs it is like $41-42usd for the disc.

I've used Valueline and Premium and haven't had a problem with either. The Valuelines I use have a TYG03 code and the premiums have TYG02. Both great discs to use for dvd movies or even archiving of data.
