shannon, check the extension of the file. There have been no backup's released that are too big for a single sided dvd yet without the need to overburn. You might be using images that haven't been unscrambled yet.

.wii = scrambled (and too big to burn anyway)
.iso = unscrambled

you have to download an unscrambler that will convert your .wii image to a .iso image if that's the case

thats wierd because i am able to do it
does it show you exactly where the file is when you drag it is like desktop/users/(yourname)/(the name of your game).wii then desktop/users/(yourname)/(the name of your game).iso except change the .wii to .iso at the end
o yeah and don't forget to drop unscrambler 0.4 in before you put your wii file in
it should look like this

/Users/***/Desktop/unscramble /Users/***/Desktop/Cooking\ Mama\(\346\227\245\347\211\210\).wii /Users/Matt/Desktop/Cooking\ Mama\(\346\227\245\347\211\210\).iso
then press return! I hope this works...

I too have an intel macbook.. another question for you.. i burnt Mario Power Tennis but i just changed the file name from .gcn to .iso without unscrambling it.. i put it in my wii it came up with Nintendo.. then it said Camelot and then it just didn't load.. do you think this is because i didnt unscramble it?

Well I guess its time you forgot about the Wii and started a thread in the Mac section about this problem you have now.
Have you tried everythign on your Mac?
If it dosent help i would recommend a re-format.

.gcn is a gamecube game. Not wii. Renaming it to .iso and burning with img burn should work just fine. No need to unscramble. I've done it many times. Maybe a bad burn?

Now that I have the program to convert .wii format to iso and I know how to burn iso can I take a step back and ask how to get the .wii backup with a mac? The only way I know how is with a pc and an LG drive but the program to do that saves as iso so I must assume you guys are using something else to get the .wii backups.
