Hey everyone!

Ok....I had Verizon FIOS installed about 3 weeks ago. I am new to the world of torrents as well, so if this sounds like a dumb question please dont be mad at me! I have been trying for DAYS to configure my router and firewall to work with bittorrent. Here is my system info

Windows XP for my OS
Verizon FIOS for my ISP
Speed is 15mbps/2mbps
Actiontec MI-424WR Router
Windows XP firewall
PeerGuardian

I went to portforward.com and set up a static IP address. I then followed the directions to set up my ports. I also tried to configure the ports into my firewall. I went to shields up to test my ports and it said that they were in "stealth" mode. I went back and redid everything, also checking to see if my computer was UPnP enabled. It still said that my ports were in "stealth" mode. Shields up also said I failed the ping test, but I don't know if that is relevant here or not. I cannot get my download speeds to go above 0-1 kbs. I also have tried limiting the number of uploads from my computer.

I just need a little help figuring out how to configure my router and firewall to work! FIOS is normally WONDERFUL! The speed is incredible, but it's just not wanting to work with me right now.

I hope that I gave out enough information. I tried to be as specific as I could. If someone could help me out that would be fantastic! I am losing my mind over this! I would like to keep what little sanity I have left, so any replies and/or help will be greatly appreciated!!
