Problems Burning Data CDs

I've been trying to burn some data CDs to play in my car (yes it can play .mp3), but every time I try it results in an error. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition and I'm using the Windows Explorer burning system. It seems like everything is going fine until the remaining time gets to 5 seconds and it tells me that it's finalizing the disc so that it can be played. And then it has a f*cking error... every time.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
