I have just bought Need for Speed Carbon, and am trying to install it. My issue is when am trying to install it i get an error after i've entered the cd-key.

It says: Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 0 or higher to be installed on your system. You can download the latest version of DirectX here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx

What is DirectX 0?

My System:

Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHZ
512 Ram
ATI Radeon 9600XT (with latest drivers)

Windows XP Home (Service Pack 2)
DirectX 9.0c
Need for Speed: Carbon (original disc, not a copied version)

Anyone who knows what to do?

This game does support XP and especially with your specs, you shouldn't be receiving an error. And on google, it showed nothing about DirectX 0. That is one weird error.

I am going to upgrade my computer with a Nvidia Graphic card and 2048ram soon, so hopefully it will work then.
