Hello, how are you?

I bought a Samsung LN-T2642H LCD tv and I went to hook up my Phillips dvp5140 to the tv using component (Y Pb Pr) cables, but I'm not sure if the Progressive scanning is functioning correctly. I turned on Progressive 'on' the phillips, pressed ok at the screen telling me to if I have a capable tv, but the confirmation dialog seemed blurry. I exited the menu and the picture isn't fuzzy, just the menu. So is my Progressive scan working correctly? I mean, if it wasn't on correctly, would I get any picture? Thanks!
