OK, i feel like crying right now-only positive thing is that my wii still works with normal games. I have been through so much shit with this thing, and have wasted alot of money. When i first got cyclowiz we got my dad to install it...which being honest was not the best of ideas. We got one blob into quick soldering the cyclo and decided to stop, we took it to a professional with a soldering iron and got it soldered in what looked to be perfectly. BUT ALAS, i still cant play my beloved backups (i dont think its the burns-they seam 2 be fine 2x with tdk -r). What could be the problem?? do you think i fried the cyclowiz and not the wii with my dads 30w soldering iron?? Any ideas?? thanks very much for any input!

You need to take the Wii apart again. Strip it down to the drive board. This time leave the two cables connecting the drive board to the Wii connected. Next thing to do is push the front of the Wii back on (this will allow you to switch the Wii on without taking it apart).
Connect the power cable to the Wii but do not switch on yet. Check that the two cables are still connected to the drive board from the Wii (one is a white cable the other is a brown ribbon). Now check you are not shorting the drive board out against anything metal. You now need to power up the Wii and see what the built in LED is doing on the Cyclowizz. If it doesnt switch on there is a problem with one (or both) of the two power points on the chip (points G & V). If the LED is on but flashing there is problem with points A, B or C (not connected or bridged). If the LED is lit up and stays steady, then the chip is fine and there is a problem with your back ups.

If you have the optional switch connected check that it is switched on and if you have the optional Z point wire connected to the Wii reset switch remove it.(Mine just caused loads of issues)

Enjoy
