well i was wondering what would be a good power supply? is it better to have dual 12V rails or just one? i need the 12V rail to be at least 18A or more so as far as i can see that most power sources are less then 18A for the 12V rail if its under 500W. ive been searching newegg and i was looking at either the one thermaltake for $40 thats like the main one that sells or some of the rosewell psu's around $50-$70. i dunno i don't want to spend a fortune on a power supply just a decent one with enough power to run everything and be fairly reliable.

yea thats the one i was checking out the reviews seem to say its good. i havent noticed other manufacturers post replies to reviews so i thought that shows that they have a good customer support center imo. its right around my price range and it has the amps and wattage i need. the only thing that i didnt like about it is that it you have to change the fan speed with a little switch on the back. i thought that having it even on the lowest setting constantly would wear out the fan quicker then other psu's that have a heat sensor that adjusts how fast the fan spins. i guess thats not a problem as long as it works good. im probably going to leave it on alot like i do with this computer so i want something thats going to be really reliable and stable.

also i was wondering i cant tell from the pictures how does the 4/8pin cpu connector work is there two separate ones or do you just use half of the 8pin im just curious since you already have it all hooked up and everything. :P im pretty sure im getting this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121035 with the core 2 duo e6420 so it takes the 4pin cpu connector. :)
