I have a 960x528 episode of Battlestar Galactica. My girlfriend has a 720p/1080i CRT HDTV.

Am i right to assume i can play videos on this HDTV at 720p it will play a 1280x720 video? If this is true, can i basically copy the video (in XviD video compression) to a flash usb and plug it into a DivX compatible DVD Player and have it play at the 960x528 resolution, or will it upscale to the 120x720?

If flash disks aren't that good or it can't handle the resolution, does that mean i am stuck with burning the video to a dvd and losing the resolution, making me stuck with a 480p quality?
