Try better media (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) Plus you could try DVD+R media instead of the DVD-R.

Any DVD burner should burn Wii games. Try using IMGBurn to burn the disc and slow the burn down to 4x or 2x if the disc support it.

Make sure your Modchip is installed correctly and all solder points are well connected.

LOL use better media!

I recommend Verbatim DVD+R 8X or DVD-R 8X and burn at 4X.

You don't have to have a specific burner unless you want to rip Wii games.

It sounds like you have a bad Modchip install. Try going back over all the solder points and make sure you have them connected and make sure all the wires go to the right contact point.

Did you flash the Wiikey chip with the newest firmware version?

Plus you are using an old version of IMGBurn version 2.3.2.0 is out so update to the newest version.

You also can not go with what people tell you to use. Everyone is diffrent on what media your Wii will play the best. Try some DVD+R media see is that helps. You can order Verbatims and TYs off the internet. I get mine fromhttp://www.mediastore.com

As I stated above make sure the contact points are connect for the Modchip. If the setup disc will not install the firmware then more then likely you have a bad Modchip or you do not have the chip installed correctly or bad connection on the solder points.

Try using some DVD+R media. If you can order Verbatim or TYs off the net. Plus update IMGBurn.

newegg.com had free shipping on 100 pack of DVD-R verbatims... 29.99 free shipping, and a 9$ rebate.

Have you opened up the console and double checked to make sure you have the wires on the correct points and make sure a wire did not fall off?

To me it seems that you have a bad install. You could have got a defective Modchip but that very rarely happens.

From my experience the 16X tend to have more problems such as longer loadings and the such.
