I have read that the Wiikey is the best chip right now, however it's the only chip without a disable feature, is this really needed since the chip operates in stealth mode?. Are there any times where you will need to to disable or it will be detected?(ex; while online)

For now we do not know if you really need to disable it. Wait for an online game to come out (Pokemon) and we'll see if it'll give us any problems.

the disable feature is just an additional feature if you want to disable your chip just in case that it would not allow you to play online games. there could possibly be a block in the future to not allow your console to play online games so it would be nice if you have this additional feature on the chip.

i have to disagree with you larrylje. The wiikey can also go to recovery mode if you did a bad flashed. It said so on the feature. But i don't know what so good about the wiikey really. They're having problem with some gamecube game, and they don't have a disable feature. I rathered go with wiinja deluxe, the site said only boot partial for gamecube different region, but so far i haven't encounter any games that can't be boot for jap or PAL.

why wiikey is popular? because the wiikey is the first modchip to come out with a upgradeable dvd, that how they gained the upperhand, then other modchip started copying, but it was too late because so many ppls think the wiikey is better just cuz their friend have it or whatever.

there really cant be a best modchip cuz its totally dependent on the wants and on the opinion on the person using it ;)

The one and only reason I got a Wiikey: Importing

I love Anime fighters (Naruto, Bleach, Battlestadium DON and One Piece: Unlimited Adventure arives today!) Without this chip, I would not be able to play any of my imports on my Wii. My gamecube imports required a softmod that doesn't work on the wii. I'm waiting for the next firmware release for the wiikey so I can finally play Naruto GNT 4 again. (I sold my cube. big mistake).
