Hm ok. This is a problem with closed ports; I've searched around the web a bit and nothing I found has worked, so here I am.

The setup: I'm using ethernet to connect to the internet through another computer, hardwired to a router. Running WinXP.

The problem: All ports are blocked. I've manually opened them on both computers, set up port forwarding on the router for both tcp and udp, set them as exceptions on the router's firewall (also tried shutting that firewall off entirely), neither computer has Windows firewall, and the normal firewall on the other PC is disabled.. and it still refuses to open those ports, or read them as open; whichever.

I'm guessing there is another firewall of some sort hidden somewhere blocking them on either the other computer or this one, but I can't imagine what -- considering it's not even a wirelessly capable router, I doubt it would have more than one..

Results from an open port scan: The ports are open on mine, but not open on the main computer or the router even after doing the above. I'm stumped. Suggestions?
