Best DVD Burning Software for viewing on TVs

I just recently installed a Pioneer A05 and have a Dazzle capture device. The software that came with both is not the greatest and when I burn videos to DVD and then play them on my TV through my regular DVD player, they are very pixelated.

So, what is the best software to buy to burn DVDs on a computer that has the best pictures on tvs?

Also, what is the recommended software for editing captures videos( i.e removing certain parts of video, not necessarily just trimming.)

Any advise or recommedation would be appreciated.

Not really into that for now, but I think some of the Pinacle software is good and Ulead too.
