I've soldered quite a bit, although haven't done any job this detailed. I falied miserably with the wiikey install

Among the 6 solder spots, I managed to completely strip two of the small spots on the circuitboard completely of solder, and now when I try to add more solder onto the empty spots they won't stick, anyone have any ideas? They just want to stick to the iron. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

By the way I tried quick solder but with wires method. I tinned the wires put them on the points, and then slipped it throug the wiikey, but they kept coming off the points on the board of the drive. So when I wanted to take everything of and clean up a little to take a break, two points completely came of...and I can't get any solder back on.

It doesn't look good.

Will your console boot as is (without the chip)? If not, you may have ruined the connections. If so, the console is probably "bricked".

Good Luck!

You could try using some soldering flux. Flux is like a magnet for solder. It comes out like a gel and you put a little where you want the solder to stick and man it will stick right to that spot. Perhaps it will help you to get solder back on those points where it all stripped away. I haven't attempted the chip with my Wii yet, but I have done several Xbox's and found that soldering flux helped a great deal. :)
