well its hardly surprising is it? was gonna happen sometime - it will get worked around - just like the psp 1.5 firmware issue


good thing -those with early wii s have seen the value increase if no workaround is found :)

Mine is a D2B chip and works fine! Am I missing something? I thought this was old news I had to get a chip that was compatible with the D2B.

Yeah it is old news the article was posted February 6th almost 3 months ago.

Most chips are D2B compatible. I bought my Wii a few week's ago and my WiiD worked. But of course my unit could have a manufacture date before January.

I bought my Wii late January when they have restocked and then bought the Wiikey early this month. No problems so far.

no, this is old articles. Most current modchip is okay. There's a new motherbroad that still worked with current modchip, but more harder to mod.. Here's the article http://texyt.com/Nintendo+Wii++modchips+...new+motherboard
